Le CNCD-11.11.11 a le plaisir d'accueillir les organisations de défense des droits des femmes palestiniennes MIFTAH et WCLAC pour un événement conjoint qui réunira un panel d'intervenantes qui partageront leurs expériences personnelles de la violence de l'État israélien et des colons, et fourniront un aperçu politique des diverses violations auxquelles sont confrontées les femmes palestiniennes à travers la Palestine historique et en exil.
  • Samiha Hurani is a youth activist from Massafar Yatta in the South Hebron Hills. Her entire life has been marked by state sanctioned settler violence. Samiha will be speaking of the ‘cycle of violence’ that Palestinains experience from birth until death. She holds a bachelors in English and works with the Youth of Sumud.
  • Alaa Bawaqneh is a woman from Jenin refugee camp who witnessed her father being killed by the Israeli army while he was rescuing an injured Palestinian in 2023. Alaa grew up in Jenin and has witnessed one bombardment by Israel after another. She holds a masters in Sports Science and is a highschool sports instructor.
  • Kifaya Khraim is a Palestinian attorney and human rights activist, known for her unwavering commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment. With a background in law and international advocacy, she has held key roles at the Women’s Centre for Legal Aid and Counseling, where she documented women’s rights violations and engaged in advocacy efforts.
  • Khadeja Ibrahim is a Palestinian activist with ten years of advocacy experience in Europe and the United States. She holds a bachelors in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of California Davis and has conducted research about Palestine’s neoliberal economic policies. She is currently the International Advocacy Coordinator at MIFTAH.

The discussions will be moderated by Nathalie Janne, policy officer in Middle East and North Africa at CNCD-11.11.11.
